Go explore: Capilano River Regional Park

From towering Douglas fir trees to a lively salmon hatchery and 23 kilometres of trails throughout, Capilano River Regional Park is one of our favourite places to explore on program. You can explore the Cleveland Dam, which helps to create Capilano Lake, one of the main water sources for the City of Vancouver. While you can’t swim here, there is plenty to explore on dry land. Pack a picnic, take a short hike and be sure to stop to take in some of the beautiful views. Downstream, you can explore the Capilano River Hatchery where you can learn about salmon and their life cycles.
