We offer one day programs, multi-day programs, and long term cohorts for youth, adults, and families. Join us in either Vancouver and Victoria for accessible outdoor nature programs.

Our Program Streams
Our program offerings are divided into three unique categories, and offer a wide range of opportunities and benefits to suit different community needs.
Inclusive Adventures
Most of our programming falls into this category. Our Inclusive Adventure programs are focused on accessibility: getting outside, trying an activity, and connecting with nature and friends.
Wilderness Wellness
Programs focused on nurturing wellbeing, and personal growth.
Catalyst For Good
Projects and events focused on social change and supporting needs in our community.

Have A Go Days
Come experience the outdoors with Power To Be! We offer a variety of activities including hiking with and without TrailRiders (one-wheeled, all-terrain wheelchairs), paddlesports, nature adventures, and more. We also periodically have community partners on site who offer additional activities!

Anyone who wants to access nature in a safe, fun, and inclusive way. This open event invites all current Power To Be participants and their families, as well as anyone interested in learning more about Power To Be. This is an excellent opportunity to try something new in nature and to meet Power To Be staff, volunteers, and participants.

Free! Donations will be accepted at the event.

No RSVPs are required to attend. We ask that anyone under the age of 19 be accompanied by adult support. Activities are available for sign up upon your arrival and run on a rotating basis. We will run the activities rain or shine, so dress appropriately for the weather. Please bring snacks and water!

Our certified Program Facilitators are trained in a wide variety of internal and external trainings, including: Mandt training, neurodiversity training, anti-racism training, emergency safety training, inclusion and anti-bullying training, and leadership training in order to provide our wide variety of participants with safe, and supportive outdoor adventures.

We run programs for all ages: children, youth, young adults, adults, and families!

We base participant suitability of our programs from a NEED/FIT/DESIRE model. Learn more below to determine if our programs may be a good fit for you.
NEED: Goals & Barriers
→ Has a self-identified barrier(s) that make connecting to nature without support difficult
→ Has needs that are not met in other programs in the community; there is a lack of other opportunitiesFIT: Attitude & Eligibility
→ Has a positive attitude towards inclusion

We run programs all year long, no matter the weather! We run both week day programs, and weekend programs, in spring, summer, fall, and winter. From kayaking to snowshoeing, there is adventure to be had in all seasons.

With the support of our community, all of our programs are subsidized, minimizing cost to individual participants. Most adventures start at $15, with costs subject to change based on type and length of activity. Bursaries are available if cost is a barrier.
