Power To Be's Quarterly Impact Report - Q3 2025

Hello, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Cedric Steele, and I am a long-time supporter of Power To Be. Since 2017, we have been leasing the Prospect Lake Site land to Power To Be for $1 a year.

My connection to nature and accessibility has been a lifelong journey. I grew up in South Africa in the 1950s, exploring the diverse wilderness at my doorstep. As a young child, I contracted Polio and spent significant time in a rehabilitation facility, leaving me with reduced mobility in the shoulder. Experiencing this life-altering disease at such a young age, I understood what it was like to be unable to freely explore the world around me.

Years later, my family and I built countless memories at the Prospect Lake golf course. When it came time to close the course, we knew we wanted this land to continue serving the community and remain a place where people could connect with nature, and with each other.

It has truly been a dream come true to witness these moments take shape time and time again through the incredible work of Power To Be. I could not be more proud.

This quarter, Power To Be ran 111 programs, and expanded their impact with the launch of the new Pathways for Seniors Program - an initiative that brings the healing power of nature to older adults in our community.

As we reflect on this season’s impact, I invite you to join me in supporting Power To Be. Your generosity helps ensure this land continues to inspire connection, healing, and possibility for all.
