Power To Be's Quarterly Impact Report - Q4 2025

Hi there! I’m Kallie, Power To Be’s Environmental Stewardship and Education Lead, and I run our Landscaping and Restoration Training and Alumni programs. Alongside inclusion and reconciliation, environmental stewardship is one of Power To Be’s core commitments – and in 2025, especially this past quarter, we made meaningful strides toward a more sustainable future.

This quarter, we ran 69 programs and delivered workshops to 80 participants. Highlights included our first Seniors Have A Go Day, where older adults connected through canoeing, nature education, and community building. Our site stewardship volunteers, including alumni from our Landscaping and Restoration program, have been working hard to restore and maintain our beautiful site, from planting camas bulbs and native seeds to cleaning out our bat boxes. Our Vancouver team joined Metro Vancouver Regional Parks’ Salmon Rainforest program at Tynehead Regional Park, learning how salmon sustain the broader ecosystem. Our Alumni program had their annual salmon barbeque on the beach at Tsawout First Nation, hosted by an Indigenous knowledge keeper. The Wilderness School crew grew their skills and confidence on a Tofino surfing trip and later wrapped up the year with a forest clean‑up at Goldstream Provincial Park, reflecting on their growth and setting intentions for the year ahead.

Looking back on 2025, I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together, and truly excited for what 2026 will bring. We could not do this work without you – not only does your support mean we’re able to create a more accessible and inclusive future, but that we’re able to continue our work towards protecting the natural spaces that bring connection, joy, and belonging to us all. Thank you!
