Program Facilitator

VICTORIA

Emma grew up playing in the forests of Ontario and is grateful to now live among mountains and ocean waves here on Vancouver Island. A curious lifelong learner, Emma has attended universities across three continents and is thrilled to complete her doctorate at the University of Victoria where her research explores permafrost in the Gwich'in Settlement Area and Inuvialuit Settlement Region.

Outside of the cryosphere, Emma has worked as a summer camp director, a high school educator, and in a political office supporting the Canadian Autism Partnership. Emma's passions involve finding new ways to play, dirt, and community building; she is so thankful to have found Power To Be where all three come together.
