Monica grew up on the Canadian prairies, where time spent outdoors shaped her appreciation of nature, hard work, and animals. Now based in Port Moody, BC, she can often be found spending time outdoors with her husband, two children, and Mila—her energetic four-legged companion.

With a career spanning the environmental and mining sectors, Monica has focused on investor relations and corporate communications. Her work has reinforced the importance of trust, dialogue, and meaningful connection between people and the land—principles that align closely with Power To Be’s mission.

Monica is committed to creating welcoming, inclusive spaces in nature. She believes deeply in the outdoors’ ability to support healing, connection, and belonging, and is dedicated to helping ensure everyone has the opportunity to thrive outside.
