Myah Rach-Sharpe
(She/Her)
Program Lead
VICTORIA
From settler ancestry, Myah (she/her) grew up in a coastal community in Mi’kma’ki (Nova Scotia), the unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. Along those rugged shorelines, she found adventure, belonging, and solace in nature. Inspired by childhood experiences in nature-based programming and social justice values, Myah pursued an undergraduate degree in Community Development and Environmental Studies through Acadia University.
She has worked in the outdoor sector as both an adventure guide and nature-based programmer in multiple facets and has enjoyed working as an education assistant and behaviour interventionist. Myah is passionate about the role that connection with nature can play in fostering healthier relationships with one’s self, others, and the environment, and holds this philosophy as a driving force behind her work. When Myah is not in program, she is most likely training her dogs Tempo and Keji and enjoying local natural spaces with them in company.
