Where do you run programs?
We run programs all over Vancouver Island and the Mainland! From the Broughton Archipelago and East Sooke Park, to Grouse Mountain, Porteau Cove, and Whistler, we love to discover new places to explore, both far away - and close to home.

When do you run programs?
We run programs all year long! From January to December: no matter the weather. Rain, snow, fog, and sunshine, you can find us outside.

Power To Be began in 1998, so we’ve been running programs for over 25 years!

What is a Have A Go Day?
Our Have A Go Days are free community events where we facilitate in partnership with other service providers to offer a chance for people of all ages and abilities to come and enjoy a day of outdoor fun. With activities like canoeing, paddle boarding, yoga, hiking, and more - there is plenty of space to try a new activity and enjoy time with friends!

How can I join a program if I don't have any outdoor equipment?
We understand that outdoor equipment can be a major financial barrier for many people who want to experience nature. High-quality gear like rain jackets, hiking shoes, coats, sleeping bags, tents, and kayaks can be expensive—and that shouldn't stop anyone from enjoying the outdoors.
That’s why, with the support of our amazing community partners, we provide all the essential gear you’ll need for your adventure. Whether you're heading out on a camping trip or a kayaking excursion, we’ve got you covered—literally! Our goal is to make nature accessible to everyone, regardless of budget or experience level.

What outdoor activities can I try at Power To Be?
We take participants on many different types of outdoor activities, such as: camping, canoeing, geocaching, inclusive hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, rock climbing, snowshoeing, and yoga!
