Through the support of partners like Beedie Foundation, youth in our Wilderness School program have the opportunity to experience the outdoors in ways they may never have imagined. Time in nature offers more than adventure. It creates space for learning, personal growth, confidence-building, leadership development, and connection with others. As youth challenge themselves, learn new skills, and build friendships, they begin to recognize their own potential.

Creating opportunities like this also aligns closely with the vision of Beedie Luminaries, a scholarship foundation founded by Ryan Beedie. Beedie Luminaries helps students facing financial adversity pursue post-secondary education by providing not only financial support, but also student success support, mentorship, coaching, and a community of peers along the way.
Both Power To Be and Beedie Luminaries believe that potential exists in every person. Sometimes, what is needed to unlock this potential is simply greater access to opportunity. By removing barriers and providing support, we can help young people explore new experiences, build confidence, and move toward futures they may not have thought possible.
